Introduction
Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA for short) is a commonly used brominated flame retardant. Physical properties: Tetrabromobisphenol A appears as white powder, with a molecular weight of 543.91, a density of 2.2 g/cm³, a melting point of 179-184 °C, and a boiling point of 316 °C (decomposition). Chemical properties: It is soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone and toluene, and can also be dissolved in sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, and slightly soluble in water.
Application
It is mainly used as an additive for plastic products and is one of the commonly used brominated flame retardants, which can be used in polystyrene, SAN resin and ABS resin, etc.; as a reactive flame retardant, it can be used in epoxy resin, polyurethane resin, etc.; as an additive flame retardant, it can be used in polystyrene, SAN resin and ABS resin, etc.
